Running rest day.
4, easy.
Four mile recovery run in the pre-dawn dark by the ocean path. However, a bit after mile 2, a man popped out from around the corner of the bath house and started running behind me, and every hair on the back of my neck stood up and I took off. I treated it like a race. I could hear him behind me, and I could hear him getting fainter, and I picked out something ahead - the clock at the bank that marked the end of the path - and focused on that. He was long gone after just a few minutes but I did not run mile 3 as a recovery run. Mile four was fine.
Oy! Wicked run. Seven miles in driving sleety snow, much of it directly in the face. My lips were numb at the end of that run. I definitely did not dress properly.
30 minutes on a recumbent bike with a "shovel the driveway" warmup
Out the door at 5.30am.
A lot cooler today but still about 60% humidity. Ran through Koomba and Bellbird back up the hill to home.
A tad over 10km.
Gym in the afternoon.
Feeling better with the cold, but it took a bit of a toll on my body with sleep disturbance and fatique. Taking the day off.
