I was at Whole Foods and bought some bulk TVP. I used it once in the past, forgot how, and am now at a loss as to how I could use it. Do I just throw it in means as a supplement? Does it have any flavor/taste?
It has been AGES since I have used it. I believe you generally soak it in broth or water first. You can use like "ground beef" in a recipe like spaghetti sauce, or you can use it mixed with diced celery, relish, mayo, etc to make a mock tuna salad.
I usually used in in chili, stew, tomato sauce that type of thing.
