Gym stuff & 5 miles.
4.5 in new shoes. Obviously, I ran faster.
4 miles, a sucky one.
3.3 miles, followed by 4 x 200m strides of increasing intensity (fast jog, 5K pace, slow sprint, sprint @80%). Sunny and warm, 44 degrees.
4 miles relaxed.
4 miles
Weights plus 4.5 miles
12K. First robins of spring spotted.
Also a Toyota Echo drove by me with it's windows down. In the car were two guys with Canadian military camo fatiques on. I smelt marijuana as they drove by.
10.2 miles including:
1.2 mile warm up
9 miles at marathon pace
That felt more difficult than I hoped
5k in 12:34.56. Finally broke Bekele's world record by about 3 seconds.
Next week I'm going to try for a 25:59 10k. April fools.
800m at a pace that felt hard. rest. 1 mile at a pace that felt hard. rest. 800m at an easier pace.
A sucky SB for the mile. Kinda depressing how much fitness I lost in 4 months of injury recovery.
But, to paraphrase Chicago, Feeling Stronger Every Day.
