8 miles - best run in a few weeks. I think I am about 85% back from hammie strain.
My last 5K was kind of a disaster. It was faster than anything I was doing in training, but pretty disappointing. With what I learned in that 5K, I modified my training.
Today I ran just over 5 minutes faster; running 28:29 on a sunny course. I think I was first in my age group (70-79) but won't know until they post the results. Also, my "kick" was decent as I passed two runners less than 50 yards from the finish.
11 miles. Hills.
4.25 before it got too hot.
5k easy. Warm and humid.
The mosquitoes have taken a break. The deer flies scared them away.
Weights in the morning.
5.5 miles at night.
8 mile run-hike to ca. 13,400 ft this AM
easy 4 at an oxygenated 5,600 ft PM
