These are really sweet, so cut into small squares! I also made a ganache for the topping instead of just using melted chocolate.
If you like chocolate-mint combo, you must make these!
Mmm... sounds wonderful!
I would absolutely be your valentine if you fed me those. :d

LOL, you, my SO, and half my office. I was fielding requests for the recipe all day yesterday.
I had fun browsing the n y t recipe website
this looks yum! I do love peppermint patties and usually keep a stash in my fridge for a post dinner snack. just one though. sometimes I go for the second and then regret it because it's too sweet.

I wish that would happen to me, but the only thing that stops me from the next peppermint patty is that there aren't any left.

I frequently have a smallish amount of chocolate at night after dinner. A couple of squares from Ritter chocolate, a peppermint patty, a few chocolate covered Almonds from Trader Joe's. It's funny as I can have some every night for weeks and then completely forget about it for a month. I look like I have a serious chocolate problem when I go to Trader Joe's as I have to stock up. Now that Easter candy is out I should see if the peppermint patties are on sales.

Are peppermint patties a seasonal choc? I got some years ago but every traveller that has gone to the US has not been able toxins them... 😭 Have you tried them frozen?
No we have them all year around. I keep them in the fridge and eat them cold. I just usually buy them around holidays when they might be on sale. In fact I bought a bag yesterday at Target and they were with the Easter candy.
