RIP
Just saw this on the news. :(
One of my favorite sports books is "The Perfect Mile". And I have read many sports books.
Also have watched that historic run on YouTube quite a few times.
Amazing that he was able to juggle his medical studies with his training.

Awww. Damn. RIP sub 4 minute mile man. :(
He was 88; that's a good life.
One of my daughter's biggest thrills in running was winning a race on the track where Bannister ran sub four.
It was still a dirt track when she ran there and that made it more special for her.

I agree Buzzy....it is a great book with the telling of Bannister, Landey? and Santee..........
and still represents one of the great track breakthroughs....
