They're opening up a lot of state parks in the area and the one near me is open enough to run there as long as you get there early for a legit spot (4 wheels off the road) since the couple of bigger lots are still closed for metering.
4 gorgeous miles on trail -- the singletrack loop around the lake I expected to be open was not, but I preferred what I had access to anyway. And then 1 more mile of walking since today was a recover run. And it was glorious. The mountain laurel are in full bloom and the rhodies won't be too long before they start blooming as well.
Sounds like a good outing!
Planned rest day. Did some core and hip strengthening work.
Almost 90 minutes of sod cutting this am took some of the steam out of my shorts, so opted for 6M at 9:15 pace instead of a slower 10 miler.
That used to be my LT run pace but 90% of it was at aerobic or lower heart range.
Missed the 70F degree weather blob by just a few dozen miles, but the near 60F temps will do. 14.6K
