Ran a Good Friday 10K race this morning. More of a speed work session, than a goal race. Weather temps were amazing in the high 60°Fs, sunny, but with a strong SW wind on the double loop, and into the wind on the outbound section. A few puddles to navigate from last night rain as well. Just a few bump rises on the route, but mainly flat. 10K runners started 5 minutes in front of the 5Kers, so the traffic wasn't too bad on the out & back portions.
Finish time 52:50
25/87 Overall
16/50 Male
1st/7 M60-69 (my first race in the 65 AG)
Nice job Fast Eddie! Congrats on your age group win and new age group. I don't think there is such a thing as a Good Friday race in the States.
6.5 miles on a semi-hilly mix of muddy-wet paths and paved bike path. Then for something fun I put on my skis and skied 1 km on a remnant patch of snow. It was about 30 meters across so I could do about 70 or 75 meters per loop.
