Dragged my butt out for an afterwork 5K at dusk.
4.3 miles in town. It was supposed to be a slower recovery run but the weather was great(albeit it kind of hot) and I went a bit too fast. Lessons may be learned on a long run today.
I did the Bay to Breakers 12K in San Francisco, one of the oldest and most iconic races in the US. That was a major bucket list event for me, I have been reading about it for almost 50 years. It's not what it was back in the 1980s with 100,000 registered runners and another 50,000 bandits. But it still is a big party with 30,000 participants, costumes, centipede teams, and naked runners.
Averaged 6:37/mile (4:07/km) and an age group placing. I really liked the course, big hill in the middle, but a fast finish through Golden Gate Park.
