The Invitational I was going to run in got canceled like 5 minutes after I got there due to lightning in the area.
Since I had today planned as a speed stimulus day I found the closest track and got a little time in. I did 2.5 miles to warm up, 2 miles at 5:18 per mile, and then 3 miles to cool down. I had planned on hitting 5k at the same pace and I'd like to blame the weather but my heart rate spiked almost immediately and then just stayed there until I called it. I'm going to take tomorrow off, first rest day since mid-July, and take Thursday easy to reevaluate where I stand going into my half marathon on the 13th.
I'm a little bummed but I think I'm just a bit burnt out.

Damn. That's legit.
I ran 2.3 miles at about 9:00 per mile.
