I bought some black figs at Trader Joe's last night. Yum! What can I do with them, other than shovel them in my face as-is?
make pizza!
figs and goat cheese are delectable together.
I agree- figs and goat cheese are great, also manchego or parm. A salad of arugula, figs, & goat cheese is lovely.
I have some feta. How would that work in a salad?

that would work
or you could put half a fig and a hunk of feta on a slice of baguette, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and toast under the broiler

OMG that sounds amazing! I saw a couple of recipes that had something similiar but added fresh basil, I might add some of that since I have a basil plant. Mmmm, I am excited for dinner now!
Now I want figs.
In Spanish they are "higo" which I often mix up with "higado" which means liver. :nono:

I imagine that could get a little tricky, ordering in restaurants. What an unhappy surprise. :D
I also confused "cerveza" and "servilleta" as a child.

:D ...I can see you ordering a beer instead of a napkin! lol!
I miss my fig tree. Stupid lightning. (Not that the stupid squirrels left many figs for me).
