It is defiantly not Kombucha...that has been a "thing" in Berkeley for years.  :D Bars would have it on tap.  :eyeroll:

I live in the middle of nowhere.  But yes, I know it's been around for years, more mainstream by now. So what's really new that I should look into?

Pea milk (think almond milk but made from peas)
Chia seeds (but that isn't super new)
Floral infused cocktails (lavender, hibiscus, etc)...I HATE these!
Tumeric in everything, including milk
Odd popped things (like popped sorghum instead of popcorn)

pea milk and odd popped things I have never heard of. Is pea milk green?

Hibiscus is something I avoid: it's in a lot of herbal teas.  It's very strong in flavor, colors bright red, and is cheap.

Run Amok

I loooove hibiscus so much. My mom used to make hibiscus sun tea when I was a kid. mmm

Nope not green...I think it started as a thing vegans used but went more mainstream recently.

Ice Cream

I am quite surprised, but I have developed a real liking for kombucha.  Store bought.  I don't think I want to venture into the homebrewing.  I like the vinegary flavor.
