Coyote Mas Loco

Ultramarathoner and influencer Jim Walmsley on a training tear now, doing 175 mile weeks and capping that off with a 30 mile training run, 2000 foot ascent, at 5:43/mile pace. https://treelinejournal.com/news-flash-walmsley-started-his-olympic-trials-marathon-specific-training/ Fanboy/girl types thinking he'll walk away with the Olympic Trials marathon next month, or make the team. Others not so positive. I'll stay somewhere in the middle camp, 8th to 20th.

Marathon cheat Mike Rossi arrested (again, this is 3rd time or so in a few years, post-Boston-Lehigh maratho infamy): https://patch.com/pennsylvania/lansdale/mike-rossi-accused-marathon-cheater-arrested-upper-gwynedd
I'll stick to running, thank you.

Jim is one of the few athletes I follow on Strava.*

His workouts are mind bending, lol.  But what I've also noted, maybe, is that he's one of those folk that has a fairly high heart rate no matter what the workout.  What would Maffetone say?

Walmsley is super exciting but I just don't know that he has the experience to make the team.  I think it'll depend a lot on what kind of race they actually have on the day.

Thanks for putting that on my radar  :d

I highly doubt he'd qualify, but he'll damn sure find a way to make it interesting
