tl:dr I guess.

I got hurt at a race the other week.

I could barely walk the first two days.

Now on rehab. Got realigned last week and have started some light cross training. Figure it will be another couple of weeks or a month before I can run again. On to 2020.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

SI joint - my pelvis was out of alignment. Good news is I got 45 minutes combined on elliptical and recumbent bike today and it's not too bad. Just going to take a bit of time.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

Osteopath at my regular medical clinic. She did some manipulations to get things lined up, some pressure release therapy to calm the spasms. It helped considerably but it has taken another week to feel closer to normal.

Good luck on the road back.  Take her easy at first.   :fingers:

Ouch!  I know that injury well though mine happened with deadlifts + hubris.

You're doing all the right things and no doubt you'll heal up and come back hungrier soon. Feel better!

Three months after injuring my SI joint, hanging in there and making incremental improvements. Initially I sat out for about six weeks but added in some cross training with the elliptical and recumbent bike. By December I was feeling better, so started running again, gradually increasing miles each week. I got up to 20 miles the week of Christmas but the pain started creeping back so, took another week off and started over again but more gradually. Started PT the other week and up to about 3 miles a day on five days a week, plus some XC skiing. Right now the running is more like just stress relief but there is no pain. I'm not really increasing mileage much yet, just enjoying getting out there and moving.  Plan/hope is to get ready for the USATF road 10K in Boston in late April.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

I'm glad it's starting to feel better finally.
