Had my 5K alumni race this morning. Decent weather, 74°F full sun, just a bit of humidity.

I didn't get the time I'd hoped for but I think the course had a lot to do with that, all grass and hills(one called the Big Green Monster you have to run up twice). Still managed to take 1st overall in 17:47 and it felt great. I haven't won a race there since high school in 2004 so it was a homecoming for me. Did a cool down run with one of the old heads so I was more social than I usually am too, it was nice.

Ran a Superpowers 10K in association with the Fan Expo/Comic-Con going on this weekend in Toronto. Spent all day yesterday wandering at the con, so I trashed my legs a bit. Run course was on Toronto Island to which I haven't visited or run in over a decade, but it's a dead flat course. Little hot this morning around 75°F. Just wore an Under Amour Ironman graphic top. There were some more elaborate cosplay costumes in the race, but most kept it simple.

Finished in 48:59 for 2nd in the M60-64 AG. 49/320 Overall.
