Yesterday, my grandson came in first in a quadrangular cross country meet; winning by 18 seconds.   This is pretty gratifying because his last two races weren't very good due to a throat infection.  Of course, since this meet was 60 miles from my house, I figured I would watch him run in his league meet next week and missed it.
