WADA just handed down the sentence.  No olympics, no world cup.  Expect appeals but it's still a huge deal to see WADA use their teeth.

A lot of athletes and officials from other countries are unhappy that any Russian athletes will still be able to compete in international sports under a neutral flag if they are deem untainted by the drug scandal. 

Big slap on the wrist, but doesn't totally ban Russia.  The top Russian officials still aren't owning the cheating and blame western anti Russian bias.
