German Plum Cake

Run Amok

T asked me to turn some of our Italian plums into this German plum conserve. In the process I happened upon this plum cake. It's on a yeasted, enriched dough, is not too sweet, and is topped with a crumble type of topping.

We took it to a bbq today and it got great reviews. I think this will become an annual thing.
