I did a double today. 6 miles in town, hot and humid and 4 miles from home in a thunderstorm that let up and got hot and humid again.

Saturday was the national championship for open and masters runners in the 4-mile road race--it's kind of an odd distance although we used to run them fairly frequently for cross country in college.

We had hot and humid conditions, it was 78 degrees with a 71 dew point at the start. I ran 6:09, 6:12, 6:25, and 6:07 for splits and placed won my age class. Our team got 2nd in our age group. A lot of people blew up in the heat so I was glad to have held on pretty well.
