Having done that thing a few times the marathon gives out a bit of prize money if the overall record is broken, brass plate trophies for top 5, and age group medals. But maybe EQ marathon43 picked up a rock on one of his ventures there.

Ahh I get it. I actually met him, maybe the last time he did the race. That may have been before glasses-gate, actually one of the funniest threads in CH history.
