Yep.  With the small number of participants in these studies, you might guess correctly that StatistiCat is not impressed.  :purr: ;)

Oh, I just used 6 oz because that's my personal serving size for yogurt :).  But I don't think an 8 oz portion is going to exceed any limits either.  Yogurt is a great source of both protein and calcium, but not great enough in that amount to overload the body's capacity to use those nutrients.

Oh no, that sounds pretty bad.  Maybe there is more to the story than what I was able to find online.  But if it's even half true, I won't be purchasing any more Fairlife products.  If they are complicit in the abuse of their animals, I'll buy my milk somewhere else.  I hear that Organic Valley, another dairy consortium, has just launched a competing product.  Their ultra filtered milk is supposed to be available at Whole Foods.  I hope their farms treat the animals better than the Fairlife farms, but the dairy industry as a whole doesn't have a very good reputation in that regard.  I guess we'll find out, though.  The animal rights organization that outed Fairlife is sure to look into Organic Valley as well.

If so, basically the animal rights people got jobs at the dairy and started abusing animals and filming it, so they could leak the videos and bring down the dairy.  It was pretty fucked up.

I'm all for animal rights, believe me, but PETA seems to be chock full of assholes.

I don't think it was PETA in this case.  The organization that videoed the abuse at the Fairlife farms was the Animal Recovery Mission.  I took a look at the video.  If you care at all about animals, I STRONGLY recommend that you not even take a peek.  It's very disturbing.  I couldn't get through it, but I saw enough to think it very unlikely that the ARM infiltrators were staging those scenes.  It's really awful stuff.

I drink skim milk.  Skim milk usually has very little milk taste.  Here in Canada, I have been drinking skim Natrel milk, ultra filtered... it tastes much more like milk.  They were out of Natrel yesterday, so I bought a cheaper Quebon milk.  much more to my taste.
