Woohoo!  1st in my age group!!  29:38 is pretty good for my first 5K in 5 years.  It was way quicker than I had expected of myself.  I should have worn more clothes because I was cold most of the time, my hands were numb, but other than a slight queasy feeling at the beginning it felt pretty good.  At one point I was sure the length of a 5K had increased and noone told me.  Very glad I did it without walking, and without having to push a stroller.  :D

I feel pretty spaced out so I'm hoping to catch a quick nap, then it's off to meet with LizardMixture & her DH.
AWESOME!!!  :bow2:

Dia- it was for ALFA on the Greenway in Morganton.  Very flat course along the river.  I've spent the gift card.... it was for a promotional website selling sunglasses and watches.

7.5 miles today! The longest run I have done in months and months and it felt good to be out in the park in the sun. Now I am preping for a housewarming dinner party. Hopefully i don't eat to much junk and that everyone loves our house!

Good job, y'all - MM, that's awesome about the distance. And Bolloxd, huge congrats!!!

I'm going to try and do some yoga tomorrow. It would be nice to get the swollen feeling out of the back of my throat (WTF is that? Adenoids?) but I can deal with that if I must. Of course we took Reid to a restaurant/grocery store/giant playground for dinner tonight and ate outside, so we'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow.

So I finished up week 1 of turbo fire and holy hell has that program kicked my ass! But I'm loving it :)

So many awesome milestones here to comment on; WTG MM and bolloxd! I don't post much in here because I hate super long threads, but everybody's hard work is super inspiring :heartbeat:

Doing great calorie-wise but the scale won't budge.  Which is actually good, I'm just naturally channel nervous energy into attempts to trim down.

Way to go Bollox and MM!   MM - how did the party turn out?

I had an ok day - worked in the garden and yard, eating was decent, not great though, because I don't think Coors Light works well in any diet.  ;)

Getting ready to do a 6 mile run, then clean my house.

great job MM!!!!!

Way to go Bolloxed and MM!  MM how was your party?

I like snakes.  Well...except for water moccassins.  :panic:

I am off to step class this morning, then to Target to get wrapping paper for a quilt I made for a friends new baby shower.  I have been holding steady weight wise, and doing pretty good exercise wise, too. Yesterday i took the boys to Big Lagoon for a long walk (not a good place for running). Dewey ran way ahead (it is a long spit between the ocean and a fresh water lagoon so Dewey can go and go and go..) and Hank got to swim the whole time. Everyone was happy.

Y'all are impressing the heck out pf me.

Added avocado, jicama, and mango to my salad today. Yum!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues
Mini is so smart!

What does jicama taste like? I keep seeing it as a suggestion, but I have no idea what it tastes like.

Mouse- nothing beats a happy doggy day.
MM- glad you had a good run too!
Allsmiles- nice job on the weight loss.

So I'm feeling a little sore today.  I really did not stretch at all after then run and then got cold so it has been tough on the muscles....my own fault.  A great eating day for me so far.

Dinner with LM was great.  They have an amazing house.  The kids were whiney most of the time...even after the beer.   :P

I'm slightly panicked yet very excited about the potential to join diablitia for the big relay run if one of the other runners drop.

Mouse- you always have the most amazing walks! I am jealous of where you live! (Hint: post more pics, please! :D)
MM- nice job! I haven't run that far in a while either due to this damn knee/IT crap (Can only go 3 mi before it hurts). How's the asthma responding to the new inhaler?
debba- jicama is crunchy. Not a lot of flavor (imo) but it has a nice texture for adding to stuff. Speaking of...
Mini- that salad sounds yum! How are you feeling a week later? Any update on making the driver be responsible for everything?
Bollxd- CONGRATS!!! And nice job on the swag! So whatdya get? :D

So yesterday was an ok day. Not tooooo bad food wise- toast for breakfast, lunch was cheese ravioli with a salad, no snacking.. and then a friend called and asked me to go out with her. She wanted out of the house and felt like a drink and dancing... so we ended up at this hilarious place called Johnny's Hideaway. It's pretty cheesy inside. Crowd ranges from 30s- 80 yo! Music from Frank Sinatra to disco and 80s... We did some dancing (which was fun!) and some drinking (4 small glasses of red wine.  :-\) I didn't have time for dinner before hand, so I ended up having some frozen yogurt with fruit (and mini m&ms!) for "dinner". That's sort of healthy right? :P

Today has been better. Oatmeal for breakfast, homemade bowl of polenta with veggies for lunch. I'll be going for a run and Jillian workout later. I'll probably eat the rest of the Amy's no cheese pizza (with cheese and green olives added by me.) I'll be making debba's orzo salad for lunches this week, too!

Hope your Sundays are going nicely. :)

DH, Reid, and I met my BFF for brunch this morning. The pancakes were delicious, and not the size of my head, which was nice. Also, I got to see my BFF! She lives in San Francisco with her husband, so we never get to see each other anymore, but we've been best friends since we were about Reid's age. No exercise. Oh well. Red Beans & Rice for dinner.
