I am in a MOOD today. Gah. A cranky, depressed, all-around crappy mood. I would like nothing more than to stick my head in a bag of Reese's Minis. Leezle's thread made me want to just give up all hope. I know it's a shitty situation for her, but.... good Lord. I'd give anything to be forced to drink milkshakes.

Have any of you read the book Moose: memoirs of a fat camp? I do not want to give anything away but i highly recommend it. As an adult she is told to gain weight during pregnancy and drink milkshakes, major issues for her after being fat her whole life.

I heard about that book and I think I may have briefly flipped through it during a trip to B&N once, but I didn't read it. I'll have to check into it.

I really enjoyed the book, but i also was a summer camp brat an it brought back summer camp memories as well.

I'm not feeling very motivated to eat well right now. I am home today and then back on the road until friday. I just can't find the motivation to eat well today. Plus, I'm on day two of a monster headache and I always crave simple carbs with a headache (like mac & cheese or a baked potato). *sigh*

I did not go to fat camp but camp experience is universal. I was skinny until college and did not have issues w weight growing up but still enjoyed her story. She has another book about her marriage/ex that was good too.

I wish i could too. I think it is a combo of public weigh ins plus only interacting with runners who are so petite and thin makes me feel fat. Being happy with the pics i have seen have helped

That's true about the camp experience being fairly universal. I'm really hoping we can afford to send Reid when he's old enough. I loved it.

This weekend was bad. We went to a buffet at the indian casino for for antag's mom's birthday. I think I ate my body weight in crab which would be fine if I didn't douse it in butter. Then we proceeded to go home and eat massive amounts of cake. Gah..why do i do that?

Is there something that is setting the switch to on for you?

Meri I love a bargain! I got a sweater at Kohl's for $5.80 -30% off. I figure if I got to wear it once this spring it was well worth it. I wore it Friday and 4 people commented on how great it looked. I'd say it was a win.
