Run Amok

That is for sure! I also think that when you're logging 85 calories feels like a lot... but in the grand scheme of things, it probably feels like not as much. Does that make sense? Like, "oh, less than 100 calories isn't going tomake a difference in my diet".

merigayle, how long have you been vegan and what is your reasoning?
If you don't mind me asking.

Just that it's so limiting.

YES.  This is my true downfall.

i have been vegetarian for about almost 20 years (gosh i am getting old!) and on and off again vegan during that time. Went back to being vegan after watching Forks Over Knives this past summer. It is not limiting, just limiting when i want to lose weight :D there are endless great breakfasts, but none really low carb, low sugar. yogurts all have sugar, baked goods carbs and sugar, etc.

So logging my food does make a difference.. I logged one mini babyruth.. 85 caloories!  Yowza.. and 2 mini nestlecrunch.. they were not as bad..

I'll think twice before I put my hand in the candy dish.. mindless calories that would amount to 500 before I know it!

I did that yesterday.  640 calories of stupid Reese's.  I had guessed around 250, so I guess it's good I checked.

Thanks, diablita. I'm okay - a little sore today, but I also went to the gym last night, so I think my body's just having a big ol' "eff you" day. I ended up having a coughing spasm last night as I was trying to go to sleep, even though I'd taken cough syrup. Ended up using my inhaler and it seemed to help once it took effect. I'll have to remember that next time. Between the accident, the gym, the zyrtec, the cough syrup, the hacking cough episode, and the inhaler, I didn't get the best rest ever last night, so I didn't make my run this morning. I'm bummed about that, actually. I need some stress relief and I'm trying really hard to not get it via junk food.

Good news - my car is fine. Whew. Now I really just want to go home and sleep.

I am so friggin tired this week. I keep thinking I am coming down with something because my throat is scratchy and today I have a headache but I suspect it is just allergies. Ugh. I am seriously thinking it was a bad idea to move so close to the open space. Those fields of grasses a few hundred feet away from my house probably aren't helping.

Allergies will knock me on my ass, MM. If I don't take something for them every day, I'm hosed. And, as evidenced by last week, if another allergen suddenly decides to join the party, what I'm already taking won't work.

I keep forgetting my nasonex in the morning. I need to get better about that because it really seems to help.

I take my nasonex religiously but I have yet to find a pill that allows me to function in a no zombielike state (even when I take them before bed  >:(). I did get an inhaler prescrition yesterday though so hopefully that will help my runs.

Zyrtec had me in a fog all day on Saturday, but I seem to have adjusted and I think it's helping. I had to use my inhaler last night, though, for the coughing spasm. I don't know why I'd never tried that before...

Sorry everyone with allergies.  I know it has been bad so far this year.

I'm staying on track so far.  Stayed within my calories and yoga yesterday.  So far calories are OK today, I had a big salad for lunch and also went for 30 minutes on treadmill at the gym.  I think since I kicked it into gear for real I've lost about 7 pound.  That is since the beginning of March.  I'm very happy about it, but still have 10 or so I'd like to lose by early June.

Sorry if this is poorly written. While I love my new iPhone, my typing isn't so hot.

Yes...I intend to use the inhaler for coughing fits too. I get them when I get up in the morning and when I try to run outside.

Squeezed in a tm run today but after 30 mins i felt faint and stopped :( eating an apple now. I ate lunch not that long ago, sleep deprivation?

My workouts lately have sucked.  I immediately thought of you this morning when I realized it's because of my Zyrtec fog.  Fuggin allergies.

Bolloxd

debba - glad you are OK!
meri - could it be dehydration? If I get dizzy/weak on the tm it is either lack of water or food, or sometimes it is just too hot indoors.

DH has started taking Vitamin C for his allergies - just started today and he is noticing an improvement.  Just a thought.  He's pretty desperate at the moment so he's trying everything we have.

I'm on edge today for some reason.  I had a quick frenzy cleaning session because the house is/was utterly ridiculous and the lack of help from DH is bugging me.  I still have a lot to do, but my energy level has dropped.  I need to get myself going again and finish freezing the last of the freezer meat.

Also - welcome to the new posters!  Good job on your progress so far...keep up the good work!

Allegra 180 (taken in the morning)! No zombie-ness. (Don't get the Allegra-D, though. That one does have decongestant in it.)
