I just couldn't help eating a burger from Five Guys last night. But, I'd had a light lunch (yogurt, string cheeese, crackers) and had run 2.5 in the morning...so I was actually still within points for the day, counting the activity.

It was kind of a stressful week, and I enjoyed the hell out of that burger, so even though this morning's weigh-in was only a loss of about a pound, I am still pleased. I mean, when you've had a plumber at your house for two days, and you had to call the city to clear the sewer main on your street because you (literally) have a bunch of crap in your sump well, and you've just signed off on the financing for over $17K in sewer line repairs scheduled for next week...

Sometimes you just need a burger. With bacon. And cheese.

But I didn't get fries, so I am still in control.   ;)

ouch!

We're having very pricy water line work done here, though our "community" (5 of the 7 households are solvent) may not have to pay for it; still waiting to find out.  After this, we pay to fix the road.  And our bill to protect the trees...  I may just need a veggie burger today.  :d

Bleah. Was not as good as I could have been on this most recent trip. I need to clean out my bag and just toss the shit I bought at the airport yesterday. Today I am back on track! At least I ran most of the time I was there.

Cgraz, sorry you are having sewage issues, yikes!

diablita, now that Sue has a new avator I keep thinking she is you. I just need to read the name, obviously.

My dinner last night: A large Gary Coffee (so termed by my family for my husband, who introduced them to latte's with booze) and a stroopwafel. Not so austere. Or nutritious. But it tasted fabulous! :D

I love that.  :D

My weight is up FOUR POUNDS from monday.  WTF?  I know it can't be for real.  But jeez.

Seriously!  My friend texted me yesterday to say she thought they put something in the food at the place we were at because she gained 2 lbs.  Ahd she has gaine 2 lbs that she has been holding on to all summer.. so she's gained 4..

I was like wtf.. I can gain 6 lbs in a day if I've had salt and 2 just from the fact that I might not have pooped yet!

Okay, so I was told today at my 8-week appointment that my target weight gain is 15 pounds.  :o Considering the only thing currently keeping the nausea at bay is eating, I'm pretty sure I'm screwed.

Holy crap (heh) $17K in sewer repair!?  It's a shitty job but someone has to do it.

David caught a bug at the concert last weekend.  Sneezing, runny nose, and some coughing with a slight fever.   Now DH and Rachel has it.... I'm sure to be next, but fingers crossed I miss it entirely.

My running has been crap.  Yesterday I took the kids on a mile long trail walk, then put them to bed for a nap so that I could go run.  What did I do?  I laid on the couch with my running gear and shoes on and fell asleep.  Gah.  I know I need to run and I WANT to run, but then I don't.

I got a nice ego boost last night.  I was working at a different pharmacy to help them out and got hit on twice!  I was asked if I was married... umm, yep.  Happily married?? Yes, for 12 years!  It was kinda cute if the guy wasn't picking up needles to shoot up drugs with.  Later another guy came in and was smiling & winking at me... he had tattoos all over and a teardrop tattooed on his face.   :skeered:  It must be the pink hair.

Working all weekend and I'm so not looking forward to it.

Debba- yeah that seems unrealistic. I think it is in one of my preggo books, maybe Henci Goers, where it talks about how wrong it is to put limits on women that are unrealistic, and even worse, to pretty overweight women to gain ZERO weight. I understand they do not want everyone gaining 100 lbs, but let's be realistic! My good friend gains about 70 lbs each pregnancy no matter what she does, eats, or exercises, it is how her body works. One of my midwives gained 80lbs in her pregnancy.

Anywho, had a crazy busy day at work which resulted in no running :( I really need to drag my ass out of bed at the butt crack of dawn again.

15-25 lbs is the recommended weight gain for pregnant women in my range. I'm on the higher end of that range, so 15 is the goal. I don't need to gain weight. There's plenty there for the baby as it is, although it would be nice if it would stop siphoning my brain cells and use the conveniently located belly fat instead.  :eyeroll:

I'll figure out a way to do it. As long as I'm eating well overall, I'm cool with it. If I gain fluid, well... I can't really control that.

So I went to the rec center on Wednesday and did a bit of weight lifting today.  I knew I'd be feeling it today so I tried to go super easy, but ho.ly.crap I'm so sore today!  My lower body is fine, but my shoulders and triceps are killing me, I can barely lift my arms up over my head.  It's pathetic, really.  More weight training is in my future for sure...just not today.

Well I'm feeling pretty crappy today. One of my dogs dug under the fence, ran out into traffic and got hit by a car. He didn't make it.  :(

I feel a lot better than I did when I got the phone call this morning from a good samaritan who tried to stop him from running into the street. The person who hit him sped away.

She was crying. I was crying. She picked him up, took off his collar, got him out of the street until DH could get there.

My other dog is devastated. I have not posted this on fb yet.

Bday party for DD's friend. No vegetarian food so i ate some bagel chips and half piece of cake, could have been worse! There was some pizza for the kids, but not even enough for each kid to have one piece! And the parents were really weird. The father is ery gay and he was fighting with his mom and wife, it was crazy. And they do no own a cutting board!!!
