How long is a Timex ironman watch supposed to last?

the little loop that holds the end of the band - that always breaks for me.

Right after I had the battery changed on my ironman watch, that little loop on the band broke.  Now, it's useless.

Yeah the little loop on the band is almost always the first to go.  I usually go to the dollar store and pick up a cheap watch to scavenge the band loop from it.
