Ran an 8..85 in the 60 meter dash this morning, my fastest time in > 4 yars.  Now ranked 12th nationally.  An 85 WAVA for those of you who care about such things.  And my age-graded time was my 4th best ever which is gratifying 2+ years out from my hip resurfacing surgery since it tells me I havent lost any speed (other than due to the normal age curve of course).

I did not want to wait around 4 hours to compete in th2 00M, so instead I drove over to my track and did a quality workout:

3 sets of 2 x 200m, with 200 rest, between 35 and 40 secs.
5 minutes rest in between sets.

wow!  you should be pleased.  that is fast.

I did not finish my race.  I alternated 20 min. walk, 10 min. walk.  After three hours, I had 16.5 miles and quit.  I only had 2.1 miles more to do, but I was not interested anymore.  Too cold, boring course, was running all alone, and a volunteer complained about having to stand in the cold until all were finished.  The water was frozen at the water stops.

Are you under-hydrated?  That does it to me.   Feel better!
