Eco Ellen

Eight miles in the dark morning rain with 3 x 1m @ 5k pace.   Solid run.  I set new records on my relatively new Garmin.

Well it's not like they're really *good* records - they're just new records on the garmin.

Got out for 5 at lunch.  Really needed it.

Was going to take a rest day but ran 5 easy miles after work.

11.5K easy.  A very windy day with gust up to 50-55mph.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

What's that in American mph?  :sidesplit:

Plugging Along

Went out for a 5k. Started a little bit too fast and cut it short at 2 miles.

Fastest 2 miler of the year so far. And the closing mile was my fastest mile of the year so far.
I could have slowly jogged another 1.1 mile and gotten a new 5k sb.
But that was more pain than I wanted to put up with, and my feet ached a little.

In conclusion, 4 1/2 weeks since I started back up and I still suck.

Interestingly my running log says that last year the track finally opened up on this day.
I have been running on it for nearly 5 weeks already this year.
We didn't get 4 extra feet of snow and a dozen -20 days this winter.
And despite missing 4 months my times now are nearly the same as last year's.
My lungs are still the weakest link. Another 4 weeks should see me zooming.

3... I ran way slower and felt like I got everything from, but gave nothing to this workout.
