It's 11pm and I'm already trying to figure out what to make for dinner tomorrow. Tell me what to make. I'm so tired of chicken, salmon, and beef.

Maybe I'll look for a pasta dish.
I love tacos but we had that tonite. Plus that involves chicken or beef. :D

Magic Microbe

We have staples....

chicken and rice and veggies
tacos
grilled cheese and tomato soup
raviolis
egg sandwiches
Tri tip and veggies on the bbq

I get really tired of these same things but I don't always have it in me to be creative after work.

are chicken, beef and salmon the only meats that everyone likes, or are they just the ones you usually buy?

some of my quick go-tos that aren't chicken, beef, or salmon:

breakfast for dinner (eggs, baked beans, fried tomato or roasted asparagus OR eggs benedict with a salad OR pancakes with bacon or sausage)
succotash with a sunnyside up egg on top
felafel (I usually make up a bunch and often have some in the freezer for easy re-heating) with pita, hummus, pickled turnip + mint or parsley salad of some sort
pork chops with fried apples & onions on the side + salad
pan roasted pork tenderloin, fennel crusted with dark green leafy veg and roasted sweet potato
sweet potato & plantain burritos OR sweet potato and black bean enchiladas
roasted eggplant halves with buttermilk sauce + chopped salad
steamed mussels, fresh bread + salad
pasta puttanesca (maybe with crab added to sauce at end)
pan-fried cod with any sides
steamed cod OR cod en papillotte (either way: layer very thinly sliced potato, very thinly sliced onion or shallot, chopped dark leafy greens, very thinly sliced lemon, cod)
shrimp or cod tacos... you can make taco filling with nearly anything... walnut & beet root,
salad nicoise
stuffed squash and/or stuffed sweet peppers

I think the pork dishes are out (Islam), but the other things sound delicious.  I want to come live at your house.

:D

Chicken, beef and fish are just staples but I get in a rut. I feel sick because I just ate a huge cookie so I can't read about food right now. But when I'm not nauseated I'm going to read your list in detail. Thanks!!

lamb, duck, and quail show up fairly frequently in our home (also moose, rabbit, grouse, trout) if you are just looking for something different...

what about turkey? can you get turkey in Saudi?

is camel halal?  I have no idea what to do with it, but I'm excited about the possibilities...

DH doesn't love lamb.
It is hard to find turkey here. You have to know someone with a farm, it's not readily available in stores. So strange.
Camel - I just can't.

nadra24

German Pancake.

4 Tb butter
1 cup milk
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 425. While oven is preheating, put a 9x13 pyrex baking dish in the oven to get hot. Melt the butter in the hot baking dish. Mix everything else in the blender, adding flour gradually  (unless you're lazy like me, I just dump it all in and don't care too much about clumps). Pour the batter into the hot baking dish with the melted butter. Bake 18-20 minutes. Top with whatever you like to put on pancakes. We usually just use syrup, but it's also good with applesauce, fresh berries and whipped cream, or else a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Not exactly healthy but it's super easy and delicious.

I'd walk a mile for a Camel.  :old:
:runner: I'll run a mile in the opposite direction.
DH said he had it and it tasted just like beef (maybe he said chicken, I tuned him out after he told me he ate camel). I know it's a delicacy and very common to eat it, but I just don't need to even try it. Plenty of other animals for me to eat. Maybe it's because camels just look gross in general. I don't know. I don't plan on eating any squirrels either. I'll just stick to beef and chicken and the occasional lamb or goat.
