I know several of you have been eating zucchini 'noodles' etc and I have an Amazon GC burning in my inbox waiting to be spent. I never order anything from Amazon. I could use help to eat more veggies and less carbs.

Thoughts on this product - http://www.amazon.com/Paderno-World-Cuisine-A4982799-Tri-Blade/dp/B0007Y9WHQ/ref=pd_bxgy_14_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1PG9NBHBEJQFNFG0VCQ9

and this book? http://www.amazon.com/Spiralize-Creative-Spiralizer-Recipes-Every/dp/1942411987/ref=pd_sim_79_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=519rRzMBx%2BL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL320_SR258%2C320_&refRID=0W8ZFS896MSK24FDJ1HR

There were several books as options, but I liked the reviews from this one.

Dagstag v 2.0

That's the spiralizer I have, I really like it. I like the different blade options.  I would say that you don't really need a recipe book if you have the Internet :D

I did go ahead and order it. I like books, I find print outs of recipes or books are just easier for me to look at a recipe. With my GC the combo only cost me $17, including the shipping. Now I can stop stressing about wtf to do with the GC.

I got the spiralizer attachment for our kitchen aid mixer. Works great!

I thought about that but it was way more expensive than I wanted to spend.

I originally bought the Spiralizer, but I found cleaning it to be annoying. I then got this kind, that is basically a pencil sharpener. I use it all the time and pop it in the dishwasher.

This one is from Bed Bath, but I got mine at TJ Maxx for $10 or so.

ETA: I don't do anything fancy with mine, though. Just zucchini noodles. Though I want to try it with sweet potatoes after Meri posted about it.

I originally had the one you brought but the crank arm broke in an unrepairable way. I now use the Veggetti and like it a lot.

I got the book in the mail but not the spiralizer. The recipes look interesting. I am not sure if I will do more than the zucchini noodles either

I found some good recipes at http://inspiralized.com/recipes/

The one I make is with shredded chicken I make in the crockpot.

I sauté the chicken in a bit of olive oil, then do the same with the noodles. Add crumbled feta. Done.

I've also tried it adding Spiralized beets, also sauté and it turned out really well. (But so messy!)  I'm now thinking pears would be good like that too, after looking through her site. But I would have to go back to the Spiralizer instead of the Veggetti I think.

the Veggetti limits what you can spiralize, but my otherone broke, like the plastic just broke in half and I do not want to spend the money on a new one (and it takes up a lot of room). I hear butternut squash is good too.

My spiralizer finally arrived last night. Now I need to decide what to make with it! I will buy some veggies Saturday I guess and play with it.

Run Amok

I'm interested to know what you think. I have been totally unimpreased.

Ice Cream

Seems to me like "sharpening" all your veggies takes a lot of time.

about a minute each. Cleaning the thing takes longer.

I have the one with the arm crank. I like it, but don't use it all that often. Last time I made curly fries. Not exactly healthy. But it worked.

I finally used my spiralizer and had way too much fun with it. I spiralizd a zucchini, onion and sweet potato. Then sautéed them with garlic, pepper and salt in evoo. Added some chicken sausage and it's a tasty meal. Made a ton of veggies.
