My coworker talked me into a November half marathon. I haven't run more than 8 miles in months. Better start training.

I'm running a 5K at the end of the month and starting toward the end of October, I have some 5Ks that run almost to Christmas that are free to runners over 70.

I'm signed up for a 12k trail run September 10 but having a messed up back all summer messed up that plan.  i think I'll replace it with a ten k road run September 25, but won't sign up until race day.

I'm registered for another trail race in October that I'll try to be ready for.

If anything, my fall "race" will be the Hartford Half, if my nagging hammy issue allows it.

I was thinking about running that but I've done the full twice and it's the week before a more local half.

Wawayanda Wonderful 100 Oct 8 in NJ. Inaugural race. Hope it is not sucky. I know the RDs so I am hopeful it will be ok :D My running partner picked the race out of a list I gave her.

Probably the 12 hour race at the NJ Trail Series 1 day race in November. That's it I think.

For sure!  I'm hoping to get down there on Thursday and stay until after the race.  Haven't booked the room yet though.

so this thread inspired me to go look for short races to encourage me to do speed work.  I have one in 2 weeks from now, and another one in a month.

caribougrrl

I'm doing a 10k Sept 18... the route goes right past my house.

Oh man, when is the 10 miler?  I have two friends doing this and should really go down there to support them.
