So DD and I went to the local U Pick farm and have a lot of fruit. I made my first clafouti on Monday and OMG it was delicious. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/basic-clafoutis-51208430 I made it with the blueberries we picked.

I want to make a pavlova, any suggestions for recipes? Anything else you would suggest with fruit? I am not really a pie person. Maybe just endless fruit clafouti :D Would it taste good with peaches? Diced? Sliced?

I make a lot of fruit crisp this time of year.  I don't use a recipe, but often include fresh or dried ginger in with the fruit or berries, sometimes mix dried fruit with fresh fruit, nuts and/or seeds in with the crisp... no two the same.

Clafoutis also makes a regular appearance.

I also like a good fool.  Oh, and sorbet (pretty much any sweetened fruit puree with a bit of booze to keep it from freezing solid).

My mother does a lot of shortcakes during berry season.

When the blackberries are ripe, I make a walnut cake with whipped cream and berries between the layers.  I think I posted the recipe here before.

as it happens, I did post the recipe before: http://chrunners.net/forum/index.php?topic=110831.msg2688987#msg2688987

Sleeping dog on my lap-- just found this recipe on pinterest, may make this one too! https://juliasalbum.com/peach-and-blueberry-greek-yogurt-cake-recipe/
I made this and it was good. Not astounding, but we had friends over for dinner and everyone enjoyed it. It was basically a vanilla cake with fruit on top.

I made mini-pavlovas earlier this summer when strawberries were in season: scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center of the pavlova with strawberries over that. I think I used Martha Stewart’s recipe for pavlova.  My mom often made these as a dessert foundation. We called them “meringues” in the Midwest.
