Kosgei:  81 seconds improvement on Paula Radcliffe's 16 year old record.

Kipchoge: 4:34 per mile (2:50 per kilometer) for 26.2 miles

Kosgei. Kipchoge was close in 2017 and followed up with a 2:01 in Berlin. No one has approached Radcliffe's time in all these years and Kosgei just blew it out of the water in  a race. Both are amazing performances.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

Agreed.  I've seen some references in the Instaverse to the possibility that Kosgei's performance raises an eyebrow, given that Federico Rosa is her agent.  (And let's face it, everyone's doubting every big effort right now.)  But I do think many of us have been training in exceptionally tough weather conditions this season and Chicago's weather was nice and cool.  I have several fast friends who had amazing PRs, like one who went from a 3:29 to a 3:18
