Avocado slicer



Mr. OL got this for me either last Christmas or the one before.  We eat a lot of avocados and I LOVE this thing!

My spice grinder. But you have to really like fresh spices to need a spice grinder. I really like fresh spices.

Which one do you have?  I prefer fresh spices too and mostly use a mortar and pestle or a microplaner.

I want a motion sensing faucet—or a foot pedal one like we had in the lab! Our last house had a trash compacter that opened with your foot. I miss that every day!

Yes!  If kitchens were designed more like labs, I'd love an air port, a range hood that extracted like a fume hood and a deionized water faucet!

I am not much of a gadget girl - mostly due to space reasons.  The kitchen things I have that I love are:
Silicone pot holders/trivets
Salad spinner - seriously
KitchenAid mix master
Cast iron skillet - I don't worry about keeping it seasoned and use it mostly for searing stuff, esp tuna.

My new favorite gadget is a pineapple corer. I picked one up an a shim and love how quick it is slicing up a pineapple.

I just got one for myself for Xmas!

Yay! I bought a cheap one to take to Paris and the slicing tines only go halfway through the loop. It doesn't work nearly as well.
