I woke up dreaming I was on my way to Boston Commons for the bus ride to Hopkinton.
Been kind of down all day, even though I wasn't entered this year; didn't grow up there like some of you but have been following the race since the mid-late 1970s.

4 miles. Sunny and 61 degrees F. Took a new route. Just can't get away from hills.

I woke up dreaming I was on my way to Boston Commons for the bus ride to Hopkinton.
Been kind of down all day, even though I wasn't entered this year; didn't grow up there like some of you but have been following the race since the mid-late 1970s.

Some of my running club friends ran 26.2 around their neighborhood. I've volunteered or run the race every year since '67, but there was no race today. Given all that's going on, I didn't feel all that empty about it. I hope to have the chance to stand by the mile 9 clock in September but I wonder.

5 very tired miles. I have a weird infection/rash on my knee from that fall on the roadside last week. So going on antibiotics.
