Our old server is about to become obsolete. So it is time to migrate to a new, more efficient, one: newer OS as well as more memory and faster processor and disk.  The initial process will take up to 3 weeks at which time I will announce a cut over date.   At cut over the forum will go into maintenance mode while the data base is copied over and the new IP address is updated in DNS.

Awesome! Let us know if you need a hand testing or whatever.

Do we need daily stand up status calls? Twice daily as we get closer?
When can we review the cutover plan?

Wait a minute. You don't want to hold a status call without a pre-status-call meeting.

We should form an exploratory committee to make recommendations about a preliminary meeting prior to initiating status calls.

I'm done setting up the new server.

After a couple of days of trying to make special characters and tapatalk work, I give up.

So there will be no more tapatalk for the foreseeable future.

I plan to switch to the new server on Saturday. Time to be determined.

Most everything I would normally use was functional.  No chance of getting hover feature or youtube embedding back?  I'm not super particular, just curious.

GeekMaster

I will be working on getting back as much as I can once we are running on the new server.

SERVER MIGRATION SCHEDULE

Saturday starting at 10AM CDT (11AM EDT/9AM MDT/8AM PDT)

I expect that it will take two to three hours if all goes smoothly.

I will post on Sue's FB page with status.

Tapatalk installed on the new server without errors.  This does not mean that it will work without problems as there is no way to test it ahead of the cutover.

Sounds promising, though!!

I keep getting database errors and told to contact the administrator. This is from the regular website. I never use Tapatalk.

Special characters may be a problem for both HB and Barry.

Try using the single-quote character instead of an apostrophe
