10km, 200m total climbing. 15*C, 66%RH.

It's been raining off and on so instead of trail running, I planned a hilly morning run based on the best chance of no precip. Was worried the trails might be too muddy (they weren't, but it was still a good course)

Timed it well and the morning started overcast with sun peeking out at the end.

Still not acclimated to the altitude... was trying a tiered warmup with three progressively longer (and harder) uphill intervals. First two were on target but could not get close to target on the finale.

The real highlight for me was a downhill Strava segment I'd flagged as a potential top ten trophy. Looked like the pace to beat was merely 5:12/km, but i miscalculated the distance (it was 1.1km not 1.0). Regardless my sub-5:00/km pace got me the top ten "trophy" at 5:15. (Out of just under 50 guys) My first Strava running trophy (small victories!) but I'll embrace it as I prepare for my target race now just 28 days out, which is maybe 49% downhill and 51% uphill.
