Did some work at the track. I did 4 800 meter repeats: 2:33, 2:25, 2:30, 2:30. Then a 1.5 mile cool down. On the road. Super nice. Had the track all to myself, the only sounds were a crow and the bleachers warming up. About 76°F and all sun, no haze.

5K local race, with warm up and cool down. It was about 74 with humidity in the 90s, dew point 71. Dripping wet and intermittent rain through the morning. The saving grace was that it was cloudy. Also, no wind, which on a day like this may be a mixed blessing.

Was hoping for a sub 19 (and state age group record) but ran 19:15. 87.8% age grade, so not too bad for a day like today.

I did an easy 25 minute shakeout later in the day. LR tomorrow so somewhere around 65-70 for the week.

Worked and was bike lead for a 5K race this morning. Small bit of prize money involved. Top guy came in just under 16 minutes.

After a long nap after getting home, went out for 16.5K a hour before dusk to beat some of the heat.
