Yeah, I'm going to do the WLC, too, but I don't make enough money to be paying Barry every time I gain. Or, I could just, y'know, LOSE weight. There's a thought.  :!: But no way in hell am I leaving this thread!

I saw an old pic if me on facebook last night. I want to look like that again!

Why the hell did I think I was fat?

I did the same! I found an old buff pic of myself and put it back as my profile pic.. something to shoot for.. I'm actually almost there.  I love how my arms and shoulders look in the photo.. hence the '100 push up challenge'

Try to remember that good feeling when you're talking yourself out of a run. I find that helps!

YES! I was just talking about this with someone today. While I was running I told myself that. Remember this feeling. This is what makes you happy. This is what makes you feel good. This is what helps lift the sadness, drop the blood pressure, open up the lungs. I'm already thinking about whether I'll be able to go back out tonight or tomorrow morning.  :runner:

so, in the middle of my super busy day at work, i got my period. Really got my period and i work with two women who do not believe in tampons. i had a stash of panty liners in the cupboard luckily. But maybe once my period is over i will see a budge in the scale. trying to be optimistic. i am dying too, the cramps are killing me, hope they are better before tomorrow's long run, will take advil tomorrow if need be.

one only uses momma cloth.

Yes, they tried to sell me something like that in the health food store.  Tried to let me know how bad I was for the environment for using tampons.

My SIL is one of these people! She's made (as in sewn!!) her own "pads" and when I visit, they are usually hanging out to dry on the clothes rack in the guest room.....  :nono:

Tampons are cotton ffs!!

Um.... so are they white or do they get stained???  :nono: Not exactly a pleasant addition to a guest room.

No they were a plaid (?) kind of fabric. I forget. I didn't really investigate too closely.  :vomit:

i would use momma cloth, EXCEPT i detest wearing a pad, it just feels dirty. Actually a woman on a cloth diapering forum i went to while DD was still in diapers was experimenting with making cloth tampons, i should track her down and see how it went, but really, i like my cardboard OB tampons. The worst thing post partum was wearing pads!!!!!

The tampons would look better in the guest room, for sure.   :)

I would worry about TSS with something homemade.

Yes...it needs to be sterile to be going up there. And you cannot adequately sterilize something at home.

merigayle

don't fear, i am not going to use a homemade tampon!!! i just bought some more OBs :D
