Oh! One other HUGE thing I have cut out- Caffeine. Yup. No coffee. No tea. No soda.

The thought makes me want to go ahead and stab out my eyeball, just so I won't have to deal with the headache. That said, I pretty much only drink my morning coffee these days. But I'd be a raging lunatic bitch without that.

Survived the gym tonight. If being sore makes the scale go up on Saturday, I'm going to be PISSED. I guess I should probably work out tomorrow to try and prevent that, huh? Dang.

I dealt with one day-long caffeine withdrawal headache. I waited it out and suffered until is passed because I knew if I had caffeine, I'd have to start again the next day. So here I am. A month so far, without coffee.

I still crave it sometimes, and believe me, it takes some serious control to say no when you're surrounded by it.  :o

Courtney

That is quite a feat for a coffee shop owner!!

Lucky. I gave up caffeine once and had to suffer through a weeklong pounding headache. Never again!

Yeah, I "gave up" coffee when I was sick over memorial day, and had a pounding headache for almost a week.

I'm still on caffiene :D

Mmmmm...  I'm having one now.

i was a Mtn Dew (diet) addict in grad school! LOL.

so, although the scale is not budging (though ovulation due around tomorrow, so could just be bloating?) i was looking in the mirror today at work and thinking i was looking pretty fly.  :specs:

In high school, when I was dancing 4 days a week and in theater and walking regularly, weekend pre-rehearsal breakfasts were frequently a liter of Mt. Dew and a pack of Skittles.

I'm not a happy person without coffee.  Just one cup will do but until then I cannot function.

The cupcake thread made me bake some lemon-blueberry cupcakes yesterday.   Which also includes eating the batter, frosting, and finished product.   Gah.   I have been doing my push ups and crunches again regularly.

A local friend who's a neurology PA just posted on her FB about a correlation b/w drinking coffee and reduced risk of Parkinson's and skin cancer.  Another reason to have another cup!

(and rescue this thread.  boo)

Oh thank God, you found it. Whew.

Thai food for lunch, pretty basic but yummy dinner - grilled chicken on the Foreman, roasted carrots, and couscous.  :fingers: :fingers: :fingers: :fingers: :fingers: for the number on the scale tomorrow.

Oh believe me, if that had lasted more than two days, I probably wouldn't have totally given it up. Just cut back.

I ate too few calories in the morning b/c I was so busy at work.  When I went out for my run at 1, it was way too hot and I was way too underfueled and I bonked and cut it short.  :(
Now I'm sipping on sweet tea vodka and snacking on a few chips with salsa.  So I'll pay.  But hopefully the salt will be out of my system by Monday's weigh-in.

(I was down to a new number this morning, though. yay!)

oh, and since we talk about exercise in here (including r*nning), maybe we can get this moved to the running board?
