Hi Mouse :) I need to give up bread :D The Panera box gets me EVERY WEEK. I think bread and butter is my #1 favorite food, well maybe ice cream. Well maybe bday cake. Argh! LOL

MM-- i would be sore from gardening, muscles i never use.

We used to camp at lake of the woods when I was a kid!

I am sore from gardening ... how sad.
It was a pretty nice little lake.
I am usually sore after gardening...all that standing, squatting, lifting, digging is hard work! Your yard is looking awesome, by the way.  Did you plant any herds for cooking in your beds?  Thyme and rosemary are really pretty when they flower, and they look nice year round.  DH planted it all over our place to assure a never ending supply. Also, oregano is pretty, but best left in containers!

Lol...herbs! Not herds!  Damn auto correct.

I have rosemary in the front bed and basil in my veggie garden. The veggie garden area needs to be redone completely when my summer veggies are done.

Bread is such a temptation! In Maine, I could not resist the tasty New England-style hot dog buns - grilled with butter, too! The friends we vacationed with have been doing the paleo thing and I think the no-bread thing is one reason I am not so sure about trying that. I love me some carbs. As a final sayonara to my vacation-style eating, I had a bagel with cream cheese this morning. It was heavenly.

Meri, what's the latest update on the refi? That sounds like a nightmare. Hope it all works out soon.

RA, hope all is ok with you.

Mouse, way to go at the gym! Sounds like a crossfit workout - tough stuff!

the update is that we hope to get this form from the company Mon or Tues to the mortgage broker. They are going to try to get a new rate loc with the same bank we just tried three times with and hope that since it is the same company, the form will not need any revisions, because that is the problem, any revisions leads to about 30-60 days of fighting with them about stupid shit (how much $ is in our escrow, etc), so if this form is good to go and the rate loc looks consistent with this stupid legal form, then we should be able to move forward with closing on the refi. I should know more Mon or Tues (whenever they get this paper via fedex since stupid asshole company won't fax it). My mortgage brokers tell me no other company they work with is like this one, they are particularly bad.

I pretty much had bread, cheese, and dips for dinner last night.  I didn't eat enough.  I almost got back up after I went to bed to find something else to eat.  I ran late morning and had a giant glass of water, a yogurt, and a cookie.   I need to find something really salty eat for lunch now.  I lost enough salt running today that my skin felt sandy.  I'm really craving a V8, but don't have any.  I think maybe scrambled  eggs and bacon will be a good lunch for what I need right now.   I'll have to involve some vegetables at supper.
Ellen stole my joy and I want it back!

pigged out at the party  :eyeroll: i could not stop eating mini philly soft pretzels, wtf?

We often eat scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon for lunch after running. It is my favorite!

We went for our run at clam beach.  The boys had a great time, and actually so did we. It was about an hour up and back with "intervals" where would walk for 10 paces and then run as fast as we could for 3o paces, and then repeat.  We were exhausted.  It was fun though....DH is almost a foot taller than me, but I am super quick for the short bursts. He was pretty surprised when I stayed with him, or beat him!
:lambie:

Merigayle, there is no way I could have resisted the pretzels either!

We had caprese salad and tuna salad for lunch.  Both dogs are sleeping in a sunbeam outside, and I think that seems like a fine idea.

DH just asked me what i was going to have for dinner  :whoa: not sure i can eat more food today! LOL

DH and I are having book club leftovers for dinner. No more wine for me for a few days, though.  :nono:

What did you have for book club?  Is book club co-ed?

debbatx

Book club is girls' only. We did an overnight at my parents' house last night and went through an awful lot of wine. As for what we ate, though... the leftovers tonight were pork tenderloin, chips and guacamole, and a pasta salad. We had more yesterday, I just brought the leftovers home since my parents wouldn't eat them.

That's a helluva book club menu! I remember when I was in a book club, the people in charge felt food was a distraction from the discussion. I didn't last long in book club.  :P

As DH puts it, we're really a wine club with a book problem. Last night there were 5 of us (usually 6, but one couldn't make it) and we went through NINE bottles of wine.  :nono:

oh my goodness, debba!  I would be kicked out of your book club for not being able to hold my weight.

Run Amok

I am such a lightweight anymore,I would have been puking sick the next day!

Today was hard. Not for any reason. It just was. DD and I got in a huge dramatic fight this morning.  :-[ But then we had a long talk, went kayaking with a friend and were supposed to meet up with another friend for a walk. Friend 2 bailed so dd and I went for our own walk. Probably 3 miles or so. It helped... but I'm just feeling blue today. I wish it were bed time.

Bolloxd

I need to join a book wine club!  Although I'm a cheap date...only 1 glass is enough for me.

Meri, good luck with the refi.  I'm a huge carb person.  I would never survive without bread.
Mouse, sounds like a good run and a tough gym workout.  Good job!
cgraz, nice work keeping the damage limited while out of the normal routine.  That's tough.
RA, I hope you're able to get into bed early.
MM, gardening really is a good workout, and satisfying once it's done.

Well, Friday was my last day of training.  Wow my legs/back hurt so much from standing for so long.  I'm sure to get used to it, but ouch.  I think I'll be OK doing retail but there is such a learning curve with the regulations of ins/medications/etc.   Plus, I missed the deadline to get a paycheck this week.   :eyeroll:  1st day tomorrow in my home store should be another learning curve.

I managed to get in a 6 mile run today and some push ups.  Very happy that I can still actually run that long.  I'd really hate to lose my running foundation because of poor time management.  I'll have to be on the ball this week to keep it going.  We went to a pool party this evening too.  The kids *loved* it, played very well together and they crammed cupcakes in their little faces like it was the best thing ever.  Lucky for me the cupcakes weren't very good.

Yeah, we all needed hangover food on Sunday morning, to say the least. All that wine was spread out from 4 PM until about midnight, though. I'm still recovering. :)

RA, I hope things are looking up a bit today.
Meri, I'm like Bolloxd. I  :heartbeat: carbs. I'm totally impressed by those of you who don't eat them. I hope the refi works out!!

Didn't do anything this morning, but am back on track for eating today and planning on doing *something* tomorrow morning. I haven't decided what yet, though.

AND no insurance.  :-[ i got her temporary insurance with a huge deductable just incase anything terrible happened, but no real insurance. ugh.
