The common sense side of me knows all that. The ridiculous perfectionist side of me thinks that if I didn't get ALL my planned workouts in, the week is an utter failure and I might as well go drown myself in a vat of cheeseburgers. It's the perfectionist side I'm trying to calm.

A vat of cheeseburgers sounds awfully messy.

Okie dokie- how about this? If you do it tomorrow you'll feel even more satisfied with yourself for doing it, over all of the objections. See? Now you have to do it to find out.

Congrats Meri!!!!

It's 7:49. I took a nap earlier and I'm contemplating running. I don't have any music though. Hmmm.

Yay Meri for finally getting the refi finished. That must be such a load of your mind!

I saw our new mortgage papers lying around yesterday and it said 'monthly payments are due through 2042'. DH and I had a chuckle about how very very far in the future that is. (I'm sure we will have sold by then).

Bummer meri. I hope the fever breaks and she gets better lickity split. I also try and just let a fever run its course but it's hard when they are so pathetic and feeling so terrible and you know it's the fever talking.  :(

Hey, Mouse, if you're reading this- the first thing I thought when I saw the picture of you and dewey on FB is that you are looking super skinny! I didn't want to post that on your FB picture though.  :D

merigayle

I usually let the fever take its course (unless it gets to 103.5 or higher) but she was soooooo misrable i forced some slightly expired tylenol on her and she is doimg better and arts and crafts.

Awwww, meri, I hope she's better soon. I usually give Reid ibuprofen with a fever, mostly because if he has one, it's pretty high to begin with, and he's flipping miserable. I figure if it helps him sleep some, too, then I'm good with it. I don't dose him if he's feverish but running around like a normal kid.

Ooops. I got a new book last night (cheesy romance novel) and stayed up reading it.  :-[

I'm resetting on September 1st.

Magic Microbe

Work has been nuts and it has effected my exercising. I just can't manage to work 12 hour days, commute for over two hours each day, and run. I am exhausted and it isn't over yet. Our lab is splitting into a new building next wed and we are nowhere near packed. I have spent the last two entire days inventorying all our chemicals and pulling almost 100 duplicates to send and I am not even done with the chemicals yet. Eek!

I think my boss thinks some magical mystery fairy does all of this because he keeps asking me for data...like I have time to do experiments.

Okay, I need side dish ideas. A friend of mine is having a Labor Day BBQ on Sunday evening and I need a side to bring. They're doing fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried corn (WTF? You can *fry* corn??). Someone else is bringing waffles (yes, really), possibly a cheesy something veggie casserole, and mojitos.

I'd like to do something veggie-based, but still delicious, and I'm stumped. I have a great potato salad recipe, but don't want to do that because of the mashed potatoes.

Help!
