Day Three post-op and I'm doing much better.  I can't bend my right elbow until follow up appt next Monday.
I also can't exercise and b/w that and the fact that I seem to be bloated from the anesthesia (can't think of another reason?) and the abx that are upsetting my stomach (b/c of skin graft) I'm feeling quite huge but I know it's temporary.  And I don't have cancer anymore, so am not complaining.

So as suspected, I gained back the 3-ish pounds that I've been swapping back and forth from pre-Thanksgiving, to Thanksgiving, to a good week, to a week with 2 Christmas parties and no running. So they're baaaaack. But this is a new week, so I'll do my best to offset upcoming holiday stuff on Saturday and Sunday, and I think for starters minimizing the booze will be a good strategy. We'll see.

Up a bit at this month's appointment, but I was expecting it, and no one seemed concerned. Between the fluid retention, Thanksgiving, Reid's birthday party, and a get together I went to on Wednesday.... yeah, that was about right.

The baby scared the crap out of me, though. They couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler, so we had to do an ultrasound. Everything's fine, but 

This kid's already a stubborn little thing.

the midwife could not find a heart beat on me until i was 20 weeks. No joke. I had two ultrasounds to check for viability because of it! no anterior placenta or anything !!! i feel your pain.

I've ultrasounds at every visit, now, so we've been able to see it every single time. But yeah, today was SUPPOSED to just be the doppler. Nope!

I came home for 10 minutes to do dishes and light the fire in the wood burning stove before picking DD up and ate her left over breakfast it was yummy!
