So I tried to run on the treadmill here in Denver today. I almost died. The guy next to me noticed I was struggling and commented. He then proceeded to high five me and tell me he was going to stop at 3 but felt guilty when she saw me keep going to 5.

Apparently he didn't want to be bested by a fat chick.  :P

Meh. It's not like keeping the stuff that's too small encourages you to lose weight.  Even when it's stuff that you really really love.

I guess I shouldn't have worried about whether a salad would be filling enough.  (Usually I find they aren't).

Spinach, 3/4 of a grilled chicken breast, green olives, pine nuts, feta,  1 1/2 hard-boiled eggs, balsamic vinagrette.

I'm having trouble eating it all.  I guess I didn't need the eggs.

And...apparently it was filling enough that I just had a buttered English muffin and a glass of EmergenC and called it dinner.

diablita

it sounds VERY filling, similar to a chef's salad

I met dulce de leche the night before last and my DH is SO happy.  He's content just to dip his spoon in; forget about spreading it on cookies.  (and I have no access to obleas here)
Thank goodness it's too sweet for me!

Dulce de leche is my favorite ice cream.

I had creme brulee for my dessert last night.  I shared with my friend but I really wanted one to myself.

I am focusing on my daily activity....my goal is to get 5 days a week of something in....with 2 days including heavy weights. This week was a success.
I am focusing on my portions again, and I feel pretty good.  I think I am going to have to ditch my nightly wine though if I want to see any real changes since I am basically at a stable weight.
Boo.
I will try 1 week and see what happens.

I hit another milestone today, 45# down.  Whoohoo!  There were a few goals- one a good weight (35# lost), a weight that would make me happy (45#lost), and a let's see what I look like if I weigh what I did in HS if I still feel motivated (55# lost).  I'm having a good time with it and feel like taking off the last 10# for fun.

Damn, CheryG, nice job!!!

I'm down 5lb since getting my Fitbit and trying to up my produce and water intake.  I've also cut down my serving sizes and make sure that I either go for a walk, take a shower, or something incompatible with eating before deciding if I do indeed need seconds.  90% of the time I don't if I give myself that break.  :)

Those are VERY good ideas, Courtney.

I was just given birthday money from my family (yes, my grandma still does that. lol) and may use it to treat myself to an Up from Jawbone.

I like y fitbit, but the calorie estimate seems low.  I also think it counts extra steps, but I still like it for day-to-day comparison reasons.
