I decided to make strawberry short cakes for easter. Normally I do angel food cake and plane mascerated strawberries. But, holeee shit, this recipe is amazing! I will probably never go back. The whole thing is pretty over the top, but yummy enough to make a worthwhile occasional treat.

I made the balsamic strawberry topping for our waffles this morning.  Kenyan's not really a fan, but I think the leftovers will be good mixed into greek yogurt or else spooned over vanilla ice cream.  Yum!
