What happens first? Sixers win a game or Golden State loses one.

Both still alive going into December.

Golden State almost lost last night, they are on fire, though.

The league had to step in and tell them to knock it off

So the appearance of Colangelo is going to suddenly turn around this Franchise?

Me thinks not!

I think they want him to try to put the kibosh on the constant tanking.  Don't know if he would be able to, I just think the league wants to make the appearance that it's anti-tanking.

Yeah, it's a cosmetic move, but the Sixers are still going to tank like crazy and try to get the number 1 pick.

Again.

I don't think they're tanking anymore, they're just god-awful.

Final record: 10 wins and 72 losses.

It's nice, but I'm not super excited about the players at the top of the board, we'll see.

I don't think Okafor was a bad pick at 3 last year, he needs to grow up and learn to play defense, but he has true scoring talent. It would be nice to get a generational talent like a James or Curry. It would also be good if Embiid could recover from that microfracture and log some minutes.

In the interest of keeping alive a 2 year old sports thread, Simmons.

Be the one!

I'm not a big fan of the NBA but I kind of like watching the draft. I hope the 76'ers take Joel Embiid.

He will either be injury prone and never get on the floor or the next Hakeem Olajuwon.

I want high risk/high reward for this draft pick.

You were riiiiiight....

i am party

The 2013 Brooklyn/Boston trade looks worse every year for Brooklyn.

-----
BROOKLYN, NY – The Brooklyn Nets have acquired Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and D.J. White from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Kris Joseph, Keith Bogans and three first round draft picks (2014, 2016 and 2018), as well as the right to swap first round picks in 2017, Nets General Manager Billy King has announced.

"Today, the basketball gods smiled on the Nets," said Nets Principal Owner Mikhail Prokhorov. "With the arrival of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, we have achieved a great balance on our roster between veteran stars and young talents. This team will be dazzling to watch, and tough to compete against."
