I think deep frying makes almost any food taste good.

I enjoy challenges of food choices and allergies, etc for entertaining. DD's entire bday party was vegan, gluten free and nut free. No one was disappointed.

I won't mind serving my guests' food choices for health reasons, yada, yada, yada..if they were appreciative of my efforts. The ex SIL I was speaking of decided that my dishes made specially for her weren't good enough and brought her own food to cook in my kitchen. I don't particularly care for the "snob" treatment that I received after all the work I made to accommodate her dietary needs.

Asparagus is supposed to help you get over hangovers.

I don't have to worry about that anymore, life is simplified without demon rum.

My cure was to drink a ton of water...for the hangover.

I love fresh green peas.  So sweet and crunchy!  I used to hate peas (because canned peas are mushy and gross).  But a friend's mother fed me fresh peas (raw even) from her garden and they were SO good.  I like cooked from fresh or frozen too.

I like asparagus (grilled!  butter!  salt! pepper!)  I didn't even hate it canned when I was a kid (but wouldn't like it that way now).

I'm working on brussel sprouts.  Not bad baked.  With bacon.  Boiled from frozen, however, are gross.

I don't mind peas. You can drown them in butter and garlic and they're passable.
