Back to rain running in 43°F rainy weather. I got some new waterproof gloves and boy that made for a much nicer wet run.  Did 3 miles today.

Mixed results in a 5K. I did a Park Run (5K) around a lake. Pace was about what I did for a half marathon last fall and I could not get faster than that. So it was about a 45 seconds to a minute slower than I might have expected. Mitigating factor was that it was 22 degrees, wind chill 16. So not exactly ideal. An inconclusive, WTF factor was that my HR stayed in the threshold range even though it felt like I was going all out. I haven't done speed work yet so that might be part of it. 

Just a shake out 5K easy Sunday morning run.

Thursday's hill work session took more out of me than I expected. Took yesterday off, and did just a recovery 9K this late afternooon. 

Tried to take the dog out for a run in the morning but that only lasted 1 km, so I dropped her off and did another 5 km.
In the afternoon I did a short workout with a 15 minute warm up, 2X 6 min tempo then 2X 45 sec, 2X 25 sec. 4.7 miles (7.6 km).

8 miles and some strides. I don't know if it was the heat(75°F) or what but I didn't feel good at any point during the run.

First really nice sunny day albeit a bit cool at 44°F. Perfect for my 5 mile run today.
