Quote from: Loco Coyote on April 25, 2026, 01:40:53 PMJust about 10 miles with a 10K road race. It was my season opener and I wasn't quite sure where I'd be but guess it was in the right ballpark. I set 6:20/mile as goal pace and ended up running a fairly even (well maybe 15 second positive) average of 6:22 for the race. 1st in age group and 88.6% age grade.
That's a nice season opener.

3 very easy miles on the treadmill. I just want to get some consistency and wanted to work my legs a little after the race last night. I considered going out in the rain, I got a new rain jacket not too long ago, but it was pouring and pretty chilly.

I did a hilly 5K race at 6:30PM at the local community college. I was ill prepared, 4 runs in the last month, and it hurt a lot but under those circumstances I was happy with my time of 18:48. It was another gorgeous day outside around 65°F and slightly overcast.

I'm starting to feel back in the swing of things after all the stress from the NICU stay and now taking care of the (perfectly healthy) month old baby. I can't wait to really get my legs back under me and to amp up my training.

4.3 miles with a couple 200s and 100s to tune up for tomorrow's 10K road race. It was low 40s with a stiff northerly breeze making it feel like 30, but otherwise a nice morning. Should be cool and hopefully not as windy for the race.

Beautiful sunny day with 55°F temperature when I headed out the door.  I did three miles tempo run on a mildly hilly route today.

I didn't post my "run" from Monday as it was a bit of a bust.  Just felt sluggish and only did about 2 miles of mostly running but some walking.

We were driving most of the day Wednesday and yesterday, so I know to take it easy after 700+ miles of driving.  It was comparably "hot" this morning at 62F in PA when I've been used to low 40s.  About 1.5 miles of ugh, but got it done.

2 miles and some strides. The weather was gorgeous. 65°F, full sun, and a slight breeze.

I've only run 3 times in the last 3 weeks and 4 in the last month. I'm running a 5K race Friday night, we will see how that goes.

8.2 miles easy on a toe path along the rail trail, perfect morning mid-upper 40s on the way to nearly 80 later in the day
