Thank you, caito.  DH isn't quite sure why I actually want to do it, but I know the ego boost will be fantastic and totally worth it!

Lots of drinking & eating, and quick cat naps when possible.  I'm hoping that being used to the twins & DH up in the middle of the night lately will have prepared me for the lack of sleep.

Well that's exciting, Bolloxd! And thanks - I'm actually feeling human right now, which is a hugely welcome change. I haven't had enough water today - long story, but I haven't, so I'll try to make some of that up tonight with dinner.

:vomit: I just accidentally ate some bacon. It was hidden in the "cheese" topping of the potatoes my dad made as part of dinner. I guess I should never assume that he has paid attention to the ingredients (he usually is very good at catching stuff and they know that things like broth make it un-veg, for ex.) I will be paranoid from now on and check everything. :( I'm drinking a beer in the hopes that the alcohol will clear out the bacon quicker (I know. Don't say it.)

well, the Bac-o-bits ones are. it is a toss up for the other brands, about half are soy and half are bacon. weird, huh?  i love me some bacobits, but i never eat them out, because you never know what they really are. i have a secret stash in the closet that i totally forgot about :D

Bolloxd, so happy that you've joined the team!  I feel the same way, no worries.

And we'll get a bit of sleep at the campground, but probably not much.  Having young kids prepares us well.  :D

debba, I just thought of you -- put away a new container of Zyrtec and discovered that they do make a 5 mg and 10 mg bottle.  My allergies are steadily worsening and apparently I take the higher dose alread.   :argh:  And only one per day.  I hope the allergy season will die down before I have to go hunting for a different med.

Yeah, Claritin had been working fine for me, and then the mold spiked.  :nono: I'm hoping the worst is over for a while, but we'll see. Allergies are awful this year.

Probably due to the mild (and dry.. at least here) winter. I'm hoping that's why my exercise-induced asthma has been worse. I look forward to spring in London next year! I don't normally get allergies there! (Of course spring= cold in London...  :-\)

5 miles tonight...super fast for me lately (11 min/mile average). I ate pretty well today too. Lunch was leftover veggie pizza (not great but not terrible), tomatos and an apple. Breakfast was a banana and a ww bar. Snack was a cheese etick and a banana and dinner will be a baked potato and broccoli.

merigayle

good early morning! up at 5am (kinda 4, when DD woke up briefly) to do my first day of two a days. i may keel over before noon today. i have no idea what to eat before my first run (second run around 11:30am). My weight has been holding steady the past few weeks, no ups and downs like it usually is, wonder if that has to do with the weaning?

morning!  good luck with your first run.
it took about 40 minutes to feel good, but i did a little over an hour on the TM. hope i can muster up the energy for my prework run too! I am hoping to see the weight budge a little with an increase in exercise. As long as I do not eat myself out of house and home. I got to find some healthy snacks that are not fruit, i can only eat so much fruit. I may have to buy some faux yogurt. I bought some awesome coconut milk greek yogurt the other day but when i went to buy another, i realized it was $2.39/container!! like a little single serve container  :e) but maybe i can find another, less expensive one i like.

MM - nice run-11 mm is my goal for the marathon on my radar!  I am not there yet, but getting better every day!   I am sitting here at work and just amazed at how much better I feel when I get up and run before work.  I just can't understand why I am not consistent with it when it makes me feel so much better.

Eating has been decent so hopefully I will see the results Friday on the scale.

Have a wonderful day all!   :)

Mini - I hope you catch a break soon.
debba - glad you got some rest.
Courtney - that is a lot of working out!
leggova - glad you're enjoying the yoga.  I miss it and should really get back into it.
lanarkshire - yeah for the steady weight loss!
LM - you're up.  I'm sure your fitbit flower will be growing like a weed.

So it seems I am definitely joining diablita for the Smokey Mtn Relay.   :panic: I may be totally insane but I'm looking forward to it, as well as scared shitless!  I ran 5.7 miles today...was hoping to at least cover the longest distance I'll be doing for the race but I was not hydrated or fueled up nearly enough.  Lesson learned, eat better!!  I'm betting the adrenaline will push me along over the weekend.  I will also be eating as much food as possible.

Food today has been coffee & toast, an orange & banana, and some water.  Not really enough for a good run.  Will have to figure out something filling for tonight's dinner.

You are going to rock this race.

In case anyone here wasn't already well aware, Bolloxd is a brave, tough, kind as can be rock star who is running this race on short notice in my place.  For me this means that I don't have to pass up a TTC (trying to conceive) cycle (a cycle that did not seem possible a couple months ago) and I can sleep soundly knowing awesome team diablita has a great runner to take my place.  It really means the world to me.

In terms of this thread, it is also going to be the best workout ever for your buns!!

I just googled that relay!  Wow - to say that looks challenging is an understatement!  Looks scary as hell and I admire both you and Diablita for having the nads to do this!!

Meri - it is the Soldier's Marathon here at Ft. Benning.  It isn't until November, but believe you me, I need all the extra time to get some sort of prepared.   :)
